Quadrants B14, B15, C14, and C15 are complete. Now let me reiterate, I HATE cliffs and the elevation changes they incur. Oh well, only about 11 quadrants left for Tonorbo Shores.

C13 is complete, whoo!

God it feels good to work on a quadrant without any cliffs or elevation changes! Here we have our first look at pits, we would have seen them in B13, but since it was completely changed, you don't see them until you are on your way to the Tail Cave.

Alright, quadrant B13 is complete!

Now, you are probably asking "But Mithos! It looks nothing like it does in the game! Why do you spread such hateful LIES?!" The answer is because the cliffs in this game SUCK! Take alook at the in game world map here: at first it looks fine, but you will soon discover that trying to find the correct elevation of things based on the cliffs is an exersize unto madness itself! B13 is a prime example, it looks horrible in 3d due to how steep of hills I need to make, since this was a fairly unimportant quadrant I decided to make a brand new one, that actually looked good.

tl;dr: I hate the cliffs and they hate me



I hate cliffs.

Updates once I figure out how to make the areas drastic changes in elevation look good

3Ds Link's Awakening Quadrent update 13

Monday Night update, Quadrant A14 complete!

Again, not much here, just alot of steep cliffs to pass on our way to the beach

Toronbo Shores is a full 20 quadrants in size, not the largest area mind you, but still pretty big.

Just a head's up, starting tomorrow I begin my programming class at college, running from 7pm to 9:50pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, on top of my job which has me working from 9am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. What does this mean? It means I probably will no longer be updating on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I will do what I can to make more updates on the weekends to compensate!

Alright, the first quadrant update after finishing Mabe Village! That was a nice week long break, wasn't it?

Here we have Quadrant A13!

Just South of the Village Library, there is not much here, best to move along to either the beach to the South, or the Tail Cave to the East

3d Links Awakening Item Update 3 & 4

Alright, too tired tonight to work on an entire new Quadrant, so that will be for tomorrow's update, for now have two items and some wallpaper!

The Rupee! You will be seeing this alot on your quest, in many varying colors, it is one of the most important items in the game!

Our trusty bomb! When it comes to blowing things up, I can think of only one item better, this little guy is a versatile little friend!

Next up we have a wallpaper! Titled "Rupee Get!" it comes in four sizes





Next update will be a quadrant update, I promise!

3d Links Awakening Item Update 2

Only one update today, as I am busy tonight, maybe one late night/early morning.

Here we have my favorite weapon in the game, the FIRE ROD!

Also known as the Magic Rod, this baby sets all things ablaze! Cuccos pecking your eyes out? BURN THEM! Village fox giving you trouble? BURN IT! Weeds growing out of control? BURN THEM TO THE GROUND! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

...ahem, yes, the Fire Rod is the second most powerful weapon in the game (second only to the boomerang, but that doesn't set stuff on fire now does it?) I will probably add in a fire particle effect inside the orb, just as soon as I find out how.

3d Links Awakening Item Update 1

Alright, update time! First up, the Worn Sword!

The first sword you find in the game. Washed up on the beach, this sword's blade is worn and dull, but it serves our hero well on his quest! Atleast, until he finds a better one....

Speaking of our hero, I decided I really hated the model shown in the previous updates, so here he is, made from scratch!

Can you tell what game each Link is from?

I will definitely be going back to add more detail to the hair texture, and probably the tunic as well, comments and crits if you please, specifically on the textures, I would rather not do much work to the Link model (I've been modeling him for four days now, I wanna move on ><) but feel free to blast the hell out of the sword model.

3Ds Link's Awakening Character Update 2c

Alright, here we go, the textured model.

You may notice that I've changed the arms, as well as reduced the size of the nose a bit

Smaller size, closer to what you would see in game

And as an extra treat, a quick Dark Link

EDIT: Minor update, Drastically rescaled the nose, and lowered the eyes in the texture, what do you guys think, is this bad boy ready for ACTION?

He is so cute, until he BOMB-ARROWs YOU! IN THE FACE!

EDIT 2: Alright, after going over things with a few contacts, and multiple edits to the texture and model, I present what I hope is the last revision:

I leave it up to you, keep the model and texture as is and move on to more updates, or continue working on the link model?

Alright, I have gone back and redone the Link model from scratch, if there are no major complaints, then tomorrow's update will be the textured model

A profile shot of the head, not sure how much I like the nose, but that can be removed without any trouble

I figured it would help to have a view of how big he might actually be, you probably won't ever see him as big as in the renders I have been posting.

3d Links Awakening Major Update1

Good news everyone! Quadrant D9 in done!

Here you will find the dream shrine, a temple dedicated to sleep...or getting high, I'm not quite sure. Also, fear my shitty rocks.

Wait, do you know what this means? MABE VILLAGE IS DONE!

Mabe Village may be done, but I need your help deciding what area to do next, the choices are:

Saturday morning update! Quadrant C9 complete!

The Quadruplet's house, a large house for a large family. Some of you may have noticed that it doesn't exactly match the layout from the original game, same with A11, that is because I have taken a few libertys in order to make the model look better, a straight 2d to 3d port is impossible due to the way the cliffs are designed.

Just two quadrants left, I figure I can get an evening update in later tonight, and have Mabe Village completely finished tomorrow, stay tuned!
